Meeting Agenda

Community Objectives
i. Our primary objective is to become better architects by providing a forum for active learning.
ii. Develop a network of relationships with other Indy-area architects.

(Draft) Community Vision
We will work on an architecture so that we can learn by doing. We will place the architecture in the public domain, piloting the idea of "open source architecture". This will extend the learning opportunity to others outside the Indy-area Architects Community, and give us the benefit of receiving input and constructive reviews from architects around the world. We propose working on the architecture for HelpMatch, to provide a needed service to the world.

January 19th Meeting Objectives
i. Demonstrate the value of working on an open source architecture project.

ii. Refine the community organization and direction.

Agenda Design Note:

This agenda is designed to demonstrate how the community could work. We will then work together on the operating model for the community, to build a shared understanding of and commitment to the community direction and operating model.

Admission

We will create a "team" of architects committed to working with each other to learn and make a difference to each others personal development, as well as to the global community of architects (through "open source" architecture) and the world (by architecting HelpMatch).

This event is free and open to practicing architects in information systems, products, software, solutions, business, etc. The qualification is commitment. You must have a clear intent to maintain a high level of attendance and participate fully in the monthly meetings (with some slow-down expected over the summer months).

The objective of this community is to do real work that will enhance our effectiveness as architects. This objective will be undermined if the group meetings become too large. Please let us know if you are planning to attend.
