Architecture Bredemeyer Consulting specializes in helping organizations develop their architectural competency. An organization's architecture competency includes, but is not limited to, the competency of its architects. For the business to get any benefit from the competency of its architects, the rest of the organization must integrate architecture into their practices. We help architects do their current project better (architecture services), offer professional development programs for architects and architecture core competency development programs for organizations:

Software Architecture Assessment An architecture, no matter how clever and elegant, is only good if it meets the objectives of its stakeholders. If management requires an architecture that will decrease the time-to-market of follow-on products but it is not extensible, the architecture has failed. If developers cannot understand the architecture, it has failed. If users are frustrated by slow transactions under average conditions, it is quite possible that the architecture is the root of the problem. Our architecture assessment technique helps you to uncover architectural issues early, so that they can be remedied before cast in expensive-to-change code or more costly customer dissatisfaction and poor business results. The assessment duration depends on the status of your architecture. If the documentation is out-of-date or non-existent, the first task is to help you (re)document the architecture. Also, if you never explicitly captured the requirements on the architecture, the next task is to elicit and prioritize the requirements and known issues with the architecture. Finally, we evaluate the architecture with respect to the prioritized requirements. Our preferred approach is to teach you how to conduct your own architecture assessments by coaching you through a set of evaluations and enabling you to complete the assessment with your own team.
