It surely is critical to today's business success, yet it requires technical, business and organizational talents and skills that warrant their own path of career development, education, and research.

This site organizes a variety of resources to help enterprise architects and software architects deepen and expand their understanding of architecture and the role of the architect.

The Open Group IT Architect Certification Program  Recognizes the Visual Architecting Process: Bredemeyer Consulting's Visual Architecting Process (VAP) is one of the architecture methods recognized by The Open Group; see http://www.opengroup.org/itac/cert/methods.tpl?CALLER=index.tpl

"Open Source" Architecture

Volunteers in the technical community are setting out to architect and build a system we're calling HelpMatch. See our wiki at www.HelpMatch.net and blog at www.HelpMatch.net/blog/. Since Hurricane Katrina, we have been encouraging our open enrollment architecture workshop participants to work on an architecture for HelpMatch, a web-based system to match donors with receivers of assistance. The Indianapolis Architect Community also took this up as a project to provide a forum for practicing and honing architecting skills and stand to make a contribution to the world at large. You are invited to get involved.
